Ranking & Discovery Transparency
Version 2.1 · Effective 2026-09-09
Suffle Online
Operated by Naucera Travel Private Limited
1. Purpose and Scope
This Ranking & Discovery Transparency Policy explains the principal parameters that may influence how products, sellers, categories and other marketplace content are displayed, ordered, recommended or discovered on Suffle Online.
It is intended to provide meaningful transparency without disclosing confidential source code, security controls, proprietary algorithms, anti-fraud mechanisms or information that could enable manipulation of the marketplace.
This Policy applies to public marketplace discovery, search, category pages, seller discovery, product recommendations, featured collections and AI-assisted marketplace discovery.

3. Marketplace Discovery Principles
Suffle aims to help customers discover relevant, available and trustworthy products and sellers while maintaining a fair marketplace environment.
Discovery should be based on actual marketplace data and configured business rules. Suffle must not fabricate product availability, prices, ratings, seller status, reviews, certifications, stock or serviceability.
Only sellers and products that meet the applicable eligibility and publication requirements should be treated as purchasable.
4. Main Ranking and Discovery Parameters
Depending on the page, query and feature, ranking or discovery may consider one or more of the following principal parameters:
4.1 Relevance to the Customer's Query
Product name, category, subcategory, brand, description, configured attributes and other structured product information may be used to determine how closely a product matches a customer's search or browsing intent.
4.2 Category and Attribute Match
Category, subcategory and relevant configured attributes may influence discovery so that products are presented within appropriate marketplace contexts.
4.3 Customer Location and Serviceability
Suffle may use the customer's selected or otherwise legitimately available delivery location to determine whether products are serviceable and to prioritise products available for that location.
Non-serviceable products should not be presented as purchasable for the affected customer location.
4.4 Availability and Inventory
Products that are actually in stock and eligible for purchase may receive appropriate discovery treatment compared with products that are unavailable or out of stock.
Stock information must come from the central product/inventory system and must not be fabricated.
4.5 Seller Eligibility and Verification
Seller approval and relevant verification status may influence discovery and eligibility.
Where a verified-seller indicator is displayed, it should reflect the actual seller verification state maintained by Suffle.
4.6 Product Approval and Publication Status
Products must meet the applicable review, compliance and publication requirements before they can appear as purchasable marketplace products.
Draft, rejected, suspended or otherwise ineligible products should not be treated as publicly purchasable.
4.7 Price and Commercial Attributes
Price, discount, MRP where applicable, shipping configuration and other actual commercial attributes may influence customer discovery or filtering.
Suffle does not guarantee that a lower price will always receive a higher ranking unless the applicable ranking configuration expressly provides for that factor.
4.8 Ratings and Reviews
Actual customer ratings and reviews may influence discovery where sufficient genuine data exists.
Suffle must not invent ratings, review counts or review content.
Ranking should not imply that a product has customer feedback when no qualifying data exists.
4.9 Popularity, Engagement and Performance
Where implemented, actual signals such as views, searches, clicks, wishlist activity, purchases or other legitimate marketplace interactions may be used as discovery signals.
Such signals may be weighted differently depending on the discovery context and may be subject to anti-manipulation controls.
4.10 Seller and Product Performance
Where appropriate and lawfully supported by actual data, fulfilment performance, cancellation/return patterns, customer experience indicators or other operational measures may influence discovery.
Such measures should be applied consistently with the marketplace's configured rules and should not be represented as verified where the underlying data is incomplete or unavailable.
4.11 Featured, Promotional and Sponsored Placement
Suffle may provide configured promotional, featured or sponsored placements.
Where a placement is influenced by commercial consideration, the relevant seller-facing terms and customer-facing disclosures should identify the nature of the placement in a clear manner.
Promotional placement does not by itself mean that a product is objectively the best product for a customer.
4.12 Freshness and New Products
Recently approved or newly published products may be included in new-arrival or discovery sections where the relevant section is configured.
Freshness may be one factor and does not guarantee a higher position in every search.
5. Context-Specific Ranking
Different marketplace surfaces may use different combinations or weights of the principal parameters above.
Search results may emphasise relevance and serviceability. Category pages may emphasise category relevance, availability and configured merchandising. Recommendations may additionally use customer activity or preferences where permitted.
Suffle does not represent that one universal formula is used for every marketplace surface.
6. Customer Personalisation
Where permitted and enabled, Suffle may use information such as a customer's search activity, recently viewed products, wishlist activity, purchase history, selected location and stated preferences to personalise discovery.
Personalisation should operate within the customer's own account boundary and applicable privacy controls.
A personalised recommendation is not a guarantee that the product is the cheapest, highest quality or objectively best option.
7. AI-Assisted Discovery
Suffle uses one central Super AI / Universal AI for applicable AI-assisted discovery features.
AI may interpret a customer's natural-language request, identify relevant marketplace products and assist with comparison or recommendation using actual available marketplace data.
AI must use verified marketplace records and configured product attributes. It must not invent products, sellers, prices, stock, reviews, certifications, delivery promises or other commercial facts.
Where the required marketplace information is unavailable or uncertain, Suffle should communicate that limitation.
8. Product Comparison
When Suffle provides comparison results, the comparison should be based on actual available product fields and should identify material differences where the relevant data exists.
AI-generated conclusions should not be presented as objective facts when they are merely recommendations or interpretations.
9. Seller Discovery
Customers may discover sellers through search, category pages, seller pages, verified-seller sections, recommendations or other marketplace surfaces.
Seller discovery may consider seller approval status, relevant products, serviceability, ratings or other actual marketplace signals.
Suffle should not imply that a seller is verified, authorised, certified or preferred unless the corresponding status exists in Suffle's records.
10. Category and Product Eligibility
Central marketplace rules determine whether a seller and product are eligible for public discovery.
At a minimum, a purchasable product must satisfy the applicable Seller Approved status, category eligibility, Product Approved status, Published status, inventory requirements and serviceability requirements.
Category, attribute, compliance and product rules are centrally managed rather than duplicated across separate discovery systems.
11. Serviceability and Location
Discovery may be restricted or adjusted based on the customer's delivery location and the seller's configured selling area.
Suffle uses the central Marketplace Serviceability Engine to determine whether a product can be offered to the customer.
Changes to seller selling areas should not alter the historical meaning or data of completed orders.
12. Dynamic Marketplace Content
Homepage sections such as Featured, Trending, Popular Categories, Shop Local, Recommended, New Arrivals and Verified Sellers should be populated from actual eligible marketplace data or configured content.
Hard-coded demonstration products, fake reviews, invented sellers and fabricated commercial claims must not be presented as live marketplace data.
13. Sponsored and Commercial Influence
Commercial arrangements may affect certain placements where Suffle has configured such functionality.
Commercial influence should not be disguised as neutral organic relevance where disclosure is required.
Seller-facing commercial terms should describe applicable differentiated treatment, promotional mechanisms or paid placement arrangements.
14. No Guaranteed Position
No seller or product is guaranteed a particular ranking, position, traffic volume, conversion rate or sales outcome unless Suffle expressly agrees to such a contractual arrangement.
Ranking can change as marketplace data, customer queries, inventory, serviceability, reviews, business rules and other legitimate signals change.
15. Manipulation and Abuse Prevention
Suffle may use anti-fraud and anti-manipulation measures to detect artificial clicks, fake reviews, automated activity, fabricated orders, gaming of ranking signals or other attempts to distort discovery.
Some anti-abuse controls may not be publicly disclosed because disclosure could weaken their effectiveness or facilitate manipulation.
16. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews and ratings are governed by the separate Reviews & Ratings Policy.
Only actual available review and rating data should be used in discovery signals.
Suffle may apply integrity controls, moderation and eligibility rules to reduce manipulation or abusive activity.
17. Seller Obligations Regarding Product Information
Sellers are responsible for providing accurate product descriptions, images, attributes, prices, inventory, shipping information and other required information.
Sellers must not attempt to manipulate ranking through misleading metadata, keyword stuffing, fake reviews, false claims, duplicate listings or other deceptive practices.
18. Errors, Corrections and Data Quality
If marketplace information is incorrect, stale or incomplete, discovery may be affected until the underlying record is corrected.
Suffle may correct, remove, pause or re-rank content where necessary to maintain data quality, legal compliance, security or customer trust.
19. How Ranking Information Is Governed
The principal ranking parameters and their relative importance should be maintained through Suffle's central marketplace configuration and legal/policy governance processes.
Internal ranking configurations may change over time as Suffle tests improvements, responds to fraud, changes product design, introduces new categories or updates business requirements.
20. Transparency Without Algorithm Disclosure
This Policy explains the principal categories of factors that may influence discovery. It does not disclose proprietary source code, exact mathematical formulas, confidential weights, security thresholds, fraud-detection logic or other information that could enable manipulation or compromise.
Providing a list of principal parameters should not be interpreted as a promise that every factor is used for every query or page.
21. Customer Controls and Filters
Where available, customers may use filters such as category, brand, seller, price, rating, verified seller, availability, serviceability and relevant product attributes.
Filters are intended to help customers refine discovery and do not necessarily determine the underlying ranking order.
22. No Fabricated Discovery Results
Suffle must not present AI-generated or system-generated products, sellers, prices, ratings, inventory, discounts or availability as actual marketplace results unless those records exist and are eligible in the central marketplace system.
If there are no matching verified results, Suffle should clearly say that no verified matching information was found.
23. Seller Access and Fairness
Sellers may receive information about their own products and applicable performance indicators through the Seller Dashboard, subject to the features provided by Suffle.
Suffle may provide different tools, programmes or commercial arrangements to sellers, but material differentiated treatment should be governed and disclosed as required by applicable law and seller terms.
24. Changes to Ranking Systems
Suffle may modify ranking and discovery systems as the marketplace evolves.
Material changes to principal ranking parameters or customer-facing disclosures should be reflected in the applicable policy and marketplace documentation where required.
25. Complaints and Grievances
Customers or sellers who believe that marketplace discovery, product eligibility, promotional disclosure or ranking has been improperly handled may raise a complaint through Suffle's available support or grievance channels.
Complaints will be handled under Suffle's Grievance Redressal Policy and applicable law.
26. Relationship with Other Policies
This Policy should be read with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Seller Terms/Agreement, Reviews & Ratings Policy, Prohibited & Restricted Products Policy, Suffle AI Terms, Promotions/Coupons rules and other applicable marketplace policies.
Where another policy provides more specific rules for a particular feature, that specialised policy applies in addition to this Policy.
27. Policy Changes
Suffle may update this Policy when ranking systems, marketplace features, commercial arrangements, technology or legal requirements change.
The current effective version should be maintained in Suffle's central legal/policy management system.
28. Legal and Implementation Note
This Policy is intended to provide meaningful transparency regarding principal ranking and discovery parameters. Actual implementation must match the controls and configurations deployed in the Suffle marketplace.
Suffle should not publish a parameter as a ranking factor unless it is actually used or intentionally configured for the relevant discovery surface.
This Policy should be reviewed by qualified Indian legal counsel before publication, particularly for compliance with applicable e-commerce disclosure requirements concerning ranking parameters and differentiated treatment.
